DEPUTY HEAD OF ACCOUNTING

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Establish, strengthen and maintain financial and physical controls over the assets of the company; create/establish reports on transactional activities to ensure key controls are operating effectively as intended
  • Ensure accurate and timely bookclose and preparation of key accounting and financial reports such as Cash Flow, Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Inventory and COGS movement, Working Capital, tax and other accruals, DSI/DSO/DPO and other performance reports and reconciliation reports
  • Monitor cash flow receipts and disbursements and establish trend reports on collection and expenditures
  • Lead balance confirmation activities with customers and suppliers
  • Maintain and review chart of accounts set-upregularly ; review journal activities of each account in the charts and establish exception reporting as necessary
  • Regular process reviews of quote to cash activities; establish, maintain and update process flowcharts as necessary
  • Maintain, review, reinforce, revise and monitor implementation of Accounting Policies and Procedures in coordination with the Head of Accounting and Director of Finance as needed
  • Manage and optimize records retention activities for both electronic and physical data
  • Coordinate external and internal audit requirements
  • Coordinate and manage to completion all government statutory and regulatory compliance and reporting requirements
  • Lead and coordinate accounting/ finance training to Accounting and Sales Operations teams

Job Applicant Qualifications

  • Has a thorough knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Indonesian Financial Accounting Standards (IFAS/ PSAK)
  • Deep knowledge of General Accounting activities and processes
  • Fluency in English language (oral and written) is preferable
  • Prior external and/ or internal audit experience as well as treasury experience required
  • Broad thinker but also very detailed oriented; can envision the end to end process flow of a given transaction; able to prepare and maintain process flowcharts
  • Analytical, highly focused and motivated individualthat  also possesses  leadership  qualities through collaboration with accounting and finance teams and also with sales operations teamsto achieve business objectives; solid interpersonal communications skills are required; can multi-task several activities
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience, including tax, treasury and other regulatory activities
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis a plus
  • Familiarity of SUN Accounting Software a plus
  • Bachelor ‘s Degree in Accounting and Finance a must; Post-graduate degree is an advantage
  • Professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA, etc a plus
